Hello, so, this is my outline for the campaign.
Players pick 1 House to play as throughout the campaign. Each player starts with 4 territories and 1 capital. Each time a game is played, the players wager a territory. The winner gains a territory, and the loser loses one.
If a player has only it's capital left, they may set up the terrain on their half of the board however they see fit to represent their fortifications and may field an extra skirmish-sized army. Games that are played for a players capital must be at the maximum game size.
If a player loses their capital, I'm not sure what should happen next. They can either be eliminated from the campaign, or they can keep playing and attempt to win back a territory from another player. However, during this territory-less period, points scored in games would count double for their opponents. I'm leaning towards this but it could drag things on a bit. Your thoughts are welcome.
Speaking of points, you can score 2 types of points, conquest points and artisan points. There will be a prize for the players with the highest score in each category, Conquer and Master Artisan, and another for the player with the highest combination of both, the Victorious King prize.
Conquest points are scored by playing games. Each game played is worth 1-3 pts, depending on the size, a win is worth 2 pts to the victor, and a draw gives 1 pt to each player.
Artisan points are scored by painting and making terrain. Points for painting are as follows;
Small infantry model- 1 pt
Large infantry model- 2 pts
Small Specialist/Leader- 2 pts
Large Specialist/Leader- 3 pts
Huge Specialist- 4 pts
To be considered painted, models must have started the campaign unpainted or with only minimal paint, and have at least 3 colours and be based.
A terrain piece is worth 1-10 pts, depending on size and complexity. 1 being a low wall, 5 being a building, 10 being a castle, etc.
As for buying upgrades/banners/scrolls, are people interested in that idea? Or would you want to keep it to just points and territories?
I'll make some sheets for players to keep track of their points and territories. This would start next week on the 14th, and go for 4 weeks. It's $10 to play for prize support. Once I get the money, you'll get your sheet and can start tracking games and points.
